Our panelists will present an in-depth look into many aspects of incorporating and running a Dental Membership Plan into Dental Practices.
Course Objectives
- Provide an explanation of what Dental Membership Plans are
- Discuss the different types of plans that can be implemented
- Explain the difference between a dental plan and an insurance plan
- Discuss the legal requirements for membership plans
- Gain an understanding into the economics of a plan
- Discuss the strategies to implement a plan
- Provide direction on how to manage a plan on an ongoing basis
Participants Will Learn
At the end of this course the participants will:
- Develop a good understanding of what dental membership plan are
- Know what types of plans are available in the market
- Gain and understanding on how these plans differ from traditional insurance plans
- Learn about the basic economics of dental plans
- Be able to develop an dental plan implementation strategy
- Learn the best practices about managing a plan from implementation to ongoing plan activities

Jason Flannagan

Co-Founder, Plan Forward
Dr. Jason Flannagan attended the Indiana University School of Dentistry where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. In 2004, Dr. Flannagan was the recipient of the highest dental academic achievement award in the industry, being elected into Omicron Kappa Upsilon. This fraternity includes only the top five percent of dentists in the nation. When he is not in the office, Dr. Flannagan is involved in the local community and volunteers with a number of organizations to make an impact in the dental community.
He serves on committees and boards for the Indiana Dental Association, was a faculty member at the Indiana University School of Dentistry for 12 years, and spent six years as the Dental Director of the Trinity Free Clinic in Hamilton County, IN which provides over $800,000 per year of free dental care to patients in need.
Megan Lohman

Co-Founder CEO, Plan Forward
As Co-Founder and CEO of Plan Forward, Megan Lohman leads the company’s go-to-market strategy and operations, contributing to overall business growth and customer retention. She is actively involved in many of the sales, marketing, and client success efforts of the company and has a heavy focus on strategic partnerships and industry relationships.
Leveraging her years of industry experience and knowledge of dental membership plans, Megan works closely with Plan Forward’s partners, customers, and software developers to inform the product roadmap.
Prior to starting her career in the dental space, Megan gained business experience in medical sales, staffing and recruiting, and was the first employee of a sports marketing agency where she wore many hats and had her first taste of entrepreneurship.
When Megan isn’t working on her long-term plans to own a professional sports team or launch a non-profit, she enjoys yoga, running, reading books (or her beloved People magazine), and spending time with family and friends.
Landon Lemoine

He also worked at Microsoft from 1999 to 2006, where he developed and implemented new product, market and partnering strategies that helped the company and thousands of its partners grow and improve profitability.

A native North Carolinian, Brett bleeds the teal and black of his hometown Carolina Panthers. He’s a consummate entrepreneur, building not only a successful four-office dental practice but also concepting and starting DentalHQ. Despite his success, Brett holds true to his belief that intelligent alien life is “out there.” Out there, indeed.
